DAY 1 Wednesday: Istanbul
Upon your arrival you will be met by our representative before the transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at your own leisure. Overnight Istanbul.
DAY 2 Thursday: Istanbul
Full day tour of Istanbul including Topkapi Palace, St. Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Spice Market. Tonight we have an authentic dinner in Kumpkapi with Turkish meze and live music. Finally we will try the famous Maras ice cream before returning back to your hotel. Overnight Istanbul. (B, D)
DAY 3 Friday: Canakkale / Troy / Assos
Depart for Gallipoli and visit ANZAC Cove, Lone Pine Cemetery, Chunuk Bair, the Nek and the 57th Regiment as well as the original trenches and tunnels. We will also visit the legendary Troy. Overnight Assos. (B,D)
DAY 4 Saturday: Pergamum / Kusadasi
This morning visit Troy where the site of the legendary Trojan War took place. Then continue to Pergamon to visit the Acropolis. Overnight Kusadasi. (B,D)
DAY 5: Sunday: Ephesus / Sirince / Kusadasi
Visit the ancient city of Ephesus with its magnificent library. Then continue to the marvellous village of Sirince where you will be able to shop around the stores and markets in the village as well as taste the local wines. Overnight Kusadasi. (B,L, D)
DAY 6 Monday:Kusadasi / Hierapolis / Pamukkale
Drive to Pamukkale where you will be able to enjoy the spectacular beauty of lime cascade with a picnic lunch. Visit ancient Hierapolis. Overnight Pamukkale. (B, L, D)
DAY 7 Tuesday: Pamukkale / Konya / Cappadocia
Visit Mauseloum of Mevlana in Konya. Konya is home to the Whirling Dervishes. Then continue to Cappadocia via Seljuk – a fine example of an ancient Silk Road. Overnight Cappadocia. (B,L,D)
DAY 8 Wednesday: Cappadocia
Full day exploring Cappadocia with visits to the Kaymakli Underground City, Goreme Open Air Museum and natural fortress in Uchisar. Lunch in a cave restaurant to taste the famous pottery kebap. Tonight, don’t miss the optional Turkish folklore evening. Overnight Cappadocia. (B, L, D)
DAY 9 Thursday: Cappadocia / Ankara / Safranbolu
Optional hot air balloon flight early in the morning. Depart for Ankara and visit the Mausoleum of Ataturk. This is the burial place of the national hero who founded the modern Republic of Turkey. Continue to Safranbolu, the world heritage UNESCO town which is considered as an open air museum. Overnight Safranbolu. (B, L, D)
DAY 10 Friday: Safranbolu / Istanbul
After breakfast we visit the old town of Safranbolu, where you can test a fine sample of Turkish Delights then continue to drive to Istanbul. Overnight Istanbul. (B)
DAY 11 Saturday: Istanbul
After breakfast transfer to the Istanbul Airport. (B)
